#8 watch video and comment:: Life without Twitter, Facebook? University tries

msnbc video: Life without Twitter, Facebook? University tries

monday oct 4th

first priority today is editing (and little bit of filming for a couple of groups)
follow the instructions in the previous blog and import your video and make it awesome!

if finished (unlikely), update blogs....marks on Thursday

if finished (even unlikelier),...each person is responsible for an 81/2" x 11" print ad (as it would appear in a magazine) promoting your product. It should be the same general idea as your tv commercial and it should be different from your group members. It should look just like a print ad , except it's not...it's a spoof

photoshop is best but paint will work fine and so will wordperfect if necessary

no due date yet...we'll see how the editing goes, but definitely this week

good luck

editing - the basics

- insert card reader (with card) in to usb drive
- in lab folder, open movie maker
- find your video files in m: drive (they will be avi. files) (ask for help in needed)
- click and drag all of your video files into moviemaker (first into the space at the top and then into the indivdual storyboard boxes at the botoom (some versions you can do this directly)...make sure to move them individually
- click on show timeline so you can see how the editing works (cutting out unwanted parts of video)
- open add video effects (from drop down menu) to fade in /film in greyscale etc.
- add video transitions to add effects between shots
- titles and credits under tools for , as it says, titles at the beginning and credits at the end
- add mp3 files to dub music (must be on hard drive or usb file)
- edit/adjust/tweak/ etc
- during editing you can watch your film and check out your changes in the viewer to the right
- once finished, save movie file to w:mcgmedia/2010/spoofs
- title the movie file with name of product and save it
(it should take a couple of minutes to save)
- finish
